** Catral es un municipio asentado en la Vega Baja del Segura, comarca situada en el extremo meridional de la provincia de Alicante.

Catral goza de una situación privilegiada dentro de la provincia de Alicante y en la comarca de la Vega Baja del Segura. Se encuentra aproximadamente a la misma distancia de la capital alicantina y Murcia (45 Km.).

De la costa estamos a 20 Km. de Guardamar de Segura y 25 Km. de Torrevieja. La capital de la comarca, Orihuela, se encuentra a 16 Km. y los núcleos industriales de Elche y Crevillente a 20 y 10 respectivamente.

Las comunicaciones son inmejorables, pues a través de la autopista (A-37) y de la autovía (A-7) se puede viajar a Murcia o Alicante en 25 minutos, y a Torrevieja en 15 minutos. Además por carretera comarcal hacia Callosa de Segura y Orihuela, o hacia Dolores-Almoradi y resto de la comarca. Tenemos estación de ferrocarril a 3 Km. (Albatera-Catral). El aeropuerto del Altet se encuentre a 35 Km (20 minutos por autovía).

Nuestro clima es muy agradable sobrepasando los 10º de temperatura en enero y 26º en julio.

** Catral is a town settled in Vega Baja del Segura, district located at the southern tip of the Alicante province.

Catral enjoys a privileged position within the Alicante province and in the region of La Vega Baja del Segura. It is roughly the same distance from the capital of Alicante and Murcia (45 km.).
